The Corpus Christi flower carpets in La Orotava, an annual tradition on the Thursday after Corpus Christi when local families decorate the streets with carpets made from flower petals and other plant parts with pictures depicting various religious scenes and elaborate patterns. The main carpet in the town hall square is made almost entirely from coloured sands. Tenerife, Canary islands, Spain, 14 June 2012.
